Rzero: web site hosting

You have two basic options to put your web site on the internet:

A) Sign up with some hosting service, who'll either forget all about you or charge you a small fortune for the privilege of their attention.

B) Figure out how to set up a web server yourself, and spend the bucks on keeping your system on the net around the clock.

Not much of a choice, is it?

Fortunately there's a third option:

C) Put your site online through Rzero.

Rzero is a proprietor-run web development/hosting business. It's a small operation, which lets me give your server personalized attention.

Most hosting companies got on the Web to make money. I do it just because I love this stuff. I'd build networks and configure firewalls and tune servers just for fun. In fact, that's how I turned my office into a network operations center, complete with a backup generator. But broadband connections and computer equipment can be expensive, and a fella's gotta eat, so I decided to start offering this same service to others. In addition to web site space, I can provide domain names, e-mail accounts with web access, e-mail forwarding, mailing lists, CGI/PHP/MySQL services, and full ftp access for your site.

One of the things I love about the Web is that it opens up "the press" to anyone. Nowhere else is such freedom of expression possible. So many other hosting services (who only care about safe and easy money) limit what you can put on the sites they host, but I won't pass judgment on your content. As long as it doesn't break the law, and it doesn't break any of my servers, what you put on your web site is up to you.
